Mum Update

My fabulous octogenarian Mum looked so much better this evening when I visited – colour in her cheeks and very chirpy.
She’s been up and about and has been told she might get out of hospital on Monday!
Better make some plans!

Mum-o-gram

My lovely 80 year old mother has been released from the High Dependency Ward onto a normal surgical ward and although she remains on oxygen and morphine she’s making good progress and I am very happy about that!

News at Mum

Update on my Mum’s progress:

She’s doped up on Morphine patches, A self-admin morphine drip, Paracetamol & Tramadol.
She’s alternating an oxygen mask with a nebuliser.
Her oxygen levels are good just now and she’s been put on antibiotics as a preventative measure.
Staff are pleased with her progress and keeping a close eye on her as she’s obviously a trouble maker!!

I like to share

So here it is: my lovely Mum fell at 4am this morning breaking 6 ribs and puncturing a lung.
She lay there until 10:30 before help arrived
She’s comfortable in ITU now but still in a lot of pain – fingers crossed for a speedy recovery!
